Get the Look - Kim K Blue Eye

Back in March this year, Kim Kardashian took the makeup world by storm with her statement block blue eye look, created by her friend and makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic (AKA Makeup By Mario). We created a Prima version with a shimmering twist. All you need to recreate this look is 2 Prima Products!
Using our highly pigmented bold blue matte eyeshadow in ‘Oceana’, pack the colour along the eyelid with a flat eye brush. Taking a big fluffy blending brush, blend the colour very slightly towards the temples to create an outwards v shape. This look is perfect for almond shaped eyes as it really accentuates the shape of your eye. Brush the colour along the lash line creating a solid blue line extending to meet the outward V.
To accentuate the eye further, take Prima Makeup Shimmer Eyeshadow in ‘True Blue’ and highlight the inner corner of the eye to really make the look pop!
Our Power Pout Diamond Gloss in ‘Girl Code’ will work really well with this look!

Get the Look - Iconic Autumn Eye

Get the Look - Iconic Autumn Eye

Do you want to create an iconic autumn glam look? All you’re going to need is 3 of our fabulous highly pigmented shadows. Using Prima Makeup Matte Eyeshadows in ‘Salted Caramel’ and ‘Walnut Whip’ with Prima Makeups Pressed Glitter in ‘Copper Kettle’.
Begin by buffing our ‘Salted Caramel’ Matte Eyeshadow into the crease and up towards the brow bone, ensuring that you don’t reach the eyebrow itself. Take the highly pigmented shadow around 3 quarters of the way towards the inner corner of the eye. Once you are satisfied that your blend has the perfect fade, take a smaller fluffy blending brush with ‘Walnut Whip’ Matte Eyeshadow. Begin to blend the dark brown pigment into corner of the outer eye, creating depth and shape. Blend the colour around a quarter of the way in, ensuring a steady gradient from a dark brown to a light brown.
Once you are happy with this move onto applying our pressed glitter in ‘Copper Kettle’. You have the option to use a flat sponge applicator or alternatively the tip of your finger. Using the built in adhesive, take a small scoop of pressed glitter and swipe onto the lid, starting at the inner corner and moving out towards the outer corner. Our pressed glitters are super long lasting so you don’t have to worry about re-application! Apply mascara and your favourite pair of lashes and you’re eye look is complete!
Match this super glam eye with Power Pout Matte Liquid Lip in ‘Monroe’ to create a sultry makeup look and you’ll be ready to party all night long!

We can’t wait to see your recreations of our look, if you post on social media don't forget to tag us and use the hashtag #primamakeup

    Summer Holiday Makeup Tutorial

    Summer Holiday Makeup Tutorial

    Hey Gems!

Here at Prima we’ve got your Summer look sorted. Our Prima Makeup Artist, Paige has pulled together a stunning eye tutorial using our ‘Holo Islander Palette’ to create the perfect Holiday look. When we thought about holidays, we instantly thought of pink bikinis and golden sands!

Below is a step by step guide on how to create our ‘Holo Islander Palette Look’.

    1. To begin with we create our base. This includes carving out our brow and setting a blank canvas on the eyelid using concealer. This is a good place to point out that this eye look does not need to be done first before your base foundation. There is no fallout from our eyeshadows, you will have no problem creating your eye look after you have applied your foundation.

    2. First we pack on our super pigmented dark pink shade with a flat brush all along to cover the whole lid. We then take a fluffy brush with the slightly lighter pink flamingo shade and blend out in the outer edges. Keep blending until the fade from the two shades of pink blend outwards.

    3. Once we have our beautiful blend of pinks we then go in with a shimmer of gold in the middle of the eyelid creating a holo spotlight effect on the eye.

    4. Add a thin line of black eyeliner against the lash line for our false lashes to sit on. Curl your lashes using an eyelash curler and add a few coats of mascara.

    5. Find your favourite set of lashes and apply along the lash line.

    6. Run the lighter pink eyeshadow along the bottom lash line three quarters of the way across. Take the darker pink shade a quarter of the way to really define your eye shape and finish your eyes off with a couple of coats of mascara on your bottom lashes.

    7. To complete your holiday look, take our BRAND NEW Power Pout Matte Liquid Lip in 'Vacay Slay' to give you!
